This is Chancer, our beloved boxer.








Isn't he handsome?

He was by-far the greatest dog known to man. He really was the greatest dog. I hope and pray that moose will follow in his footsteps to become half as wonderful a dog as Chancer ever was.

I was watching home videos a couple of months back, and it was when we had first gotten him, he was only a couple years old, and already sculpted into an amazingly perfect boxer. He would later end up becoming a huge impact in the lives of mama and I.

In that video i was in a little cowgirl outfit, boots, cowboy hat and all, in our living room, him and I were running around the couch, i cant remember what all was going on, or why i was in a cowgirl outfit, i was around 3 or 4 in the video, but i'll never forget that moment, or him!

I know that he's at the rainbow bridge, youthful as he was in this picture above, waiting for the day mama and i come and get him, He's my guardian angel.

First blog EVER!

I'm Meagan! My mom is Sassydog over at Becky and her babies. She got me started. This blog's going to be about me, my dog moose, and our life together.

Meet Moose, my 6 month old lab mix.

I got him in January from the Local Animal Control. 25 bucks for the precious little pup! After a couple hundred dollars in vet bills, and a little over two months, he's become a HUGE part of my life. Today we went to the lake up the road from my house, he hopped out of the car after me, and we began our journey, after walking around for a couple of minutes, he layed down and started trying to figure out what those weird creatures waddling around making those strange noises were, he carefully watched as the waddled by and jumped down the bank and swam off into the water, he decided to try and follow them, but ended up just playing in the water. He was chomping at the tide as it rolled in, trying to catch a ripple in his mouth. He'd go in as far as the short leash would allow, then come hopping back to me, like "mom watch what i can do". It was sooo cute! After he did that a few times he plopped down and just relaxed. People walking by would laugh as we played on the banks together. I was so happy to see how much he loved the water, but when we came home and it was time to get a bath, he wasn't a happy camper, i think it's the sound of the water coming through the nozzle or faucet that scares him. He's never liked a bath unless you're getting soaked with him, and even then he's still freaked out. Maybe next weekend, we'll take a trip to a doggie beach!

He's wandering around our living room as i type this, testing out everyone's dog food besides his own, while my moms grouchy old pug, Fuji, barks down from her nest atop the chair her beloved queen(mama) sits in to watch tv. I wonder whats she's saying to him, i guess she thinks she's in charge.

I'm off to walmart or pet supermarket to buy mama a new leash since macho moose chewed right threw it! She's a tad bit mad at me :[
